Whenever I have suffered from a lack of inspiration or photographers block I try to head to my closest market. Living in Asia, I'm lucky to have quite a number of markets I can visit but I would think that the same would apply to a weekend fair, garage sale or a car boot sale.

Over here the markets are always full of interesting subjects - the items on sale are always vibrant/ colourful and plentiful and the interactions between both parties fantastic to watch. You can even get involved! Due to this markets can offer a variety of photographic options - you can get up close and personal or just stand back and observe or even do both!

Now, due to all these options today's photo was fairly difficult to chose. I've ended up selecting a photo I took in China Town, Singapore. I like how there are so many different types of styles and varieties of jewellery all of which are different colours. I tried to use a small depth of focus so that one or two items of jewellery really stand out.
