The markets in Hong Kong are full of many interesting subjects - both the people working there and items that are for sale are fantastic to photograph. I've mentioned before how I use the markets for inspiration whenever I'm stuck for ideas so today I thought I'd share my favourite market shot.

I took this as I was walking through Wan Chai market. I saw this old lady buried underneath all her products and I knew I needed capture her. As I was lifting the camera to my eye she turned and looked directly at me (not sure if she was upset or curious) and hit the shutter button. After I had taken the photo she didn't look upset so I nodded, she smiled back and I walked on my way.

The fact that she is looking directly at me and she is only just visible, for me, really makes this photo. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
