The photo I'm sharing today has been chosen as the "Photo of the Day" in a pretty neat magazine called Light and Composition. All of the previous photos chosen have been fantastic so it's rather cool to be associated with these photos and their respective photographers. If you like the photo please re-tweet or leave a comment on their page.

During the summer months Beijing can get extremely hot and dry. Due to this the Summer Palace is a great place to relax, cool down and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city - it's only a subway stop away so no excuses! There is also the possibility of riding the boat from Beijing Zoo all the way to the Summer Palace.

As I walked down the corridor I knew I had to capture it in some form. I took quite a few photos but I think this is the best one. There were many couples dancing away to an iPod in that shelter in the distance - it was pretty cool mix of ancient and modern.
